Warranty & Defect Claims

Two-year standard warranty, extendable to three. Free spare modules ship with every order — so a fault is fixed by a swap, not by shipping a wall back to China.

2 yearsStandard warranty on modules, cabinets and control hardware. Up to 3 years on selected products, as stated in your written quotation.

Swap, don’t shipFront-serviceable modules are replaced on site by your own crew in minutes. No RMA freight, no dark screen for weeks.

The short version

  • Every screen carries a 2-year warranty as standard — up to 3 years on selected products, confirmed in your written quotation.
  • Free spare modules ship with the order: 1 module for every 20 m² of screen, at no cost.
  • Defects are fixed by swapping in a spare module — usually the same day, without returning the screen.
  • We do not accept change-of-mind returns. Screens are built to your specification; once production is confirmed, the order is yours.

1. Warranty coverage & period

Every JDX screen is aged and burn-in tested before it leaves Shenzhen. From the date on the shipping documents, the following applies:

WhatStandardExtended
LED modules, cabinets and structural parts2 yearsup to 3 years
Power supplies and receiving cards2 yearsup to 3 years
Control hardware supplied by JDX TECH2 yearsup to 3 years
Consumables: data cables, masks, connectors, fans2 years—

The extended period is quoted per project, not assumed. Where a 3-year term is offered, it is written into your quotation and covers the components named there. If your quotation does not mention a 3-year term, your warranty is 2 years. The warranty is not transferable beyond the original buyer unless agreed in writing.

Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, within the electrical and environmental limits stated in the product datasheet — input voltage, ambient temperature, humidity and IP rating.

2. Free spare modules

This is the part that decides how fast a fault gets fixed. We include free spare modules with every order — 1 module for every 20 m² of screen area. They travel in the same shipment, so they are already on site before anything goes wrong.

Screen area orderedFree spare modulesCost
up to 20 m²1Included
21 – 40 m²2Included
41 – 60 m²3Included
per additional 20 m²+1Included

Area is rounded up to the next full 20 m², so a 25 m² order receives 2 modules. Three things worth knowing:

Every cabinet batch is matched

Spares are produced with your screen and calibrated to the same brightness and colour targets, so a swapped-in module matches without a full recalibration.

Need a bigger buffer?

Extra spare modules, power supplies and receiving cards can be added to any order at cost. Rental fleets typically order a larger buffer — tell us and we quote it upfront.

Modules never used stay yours

Leftover spares remain your property and can be used after the warranty expires.

3. How to report a defect

Most claims never become a return — they end at step 3, with a module swapped from the spares you already hold.

  1. Tell us — any time inside the warranty. Email [email protected] or use the contact form. Include order number, cabinet serial numbers and the fault position on the wall.
  2. Send two photos and a 10-second video — the module lit, and the same module dark. This is usually all engineering needs.
  3. Engineering verdict within 2 business days. We confirm whether it is a covered defect, then send a short swap video for your exact cabinet type.
  4. Swap from your spares; we top up if needed. If spares are used up and the warranty is still running, replacements dispatch free within 3 business days of the verdict.

Transport damage is a different clock. Inspect the crates before signing the delivery receipt, and report visible damage with photos within 7 days. Claims raised after the crates are signed for and moved are handled as a warranty case instead.

4. What is not covered

  • Damage from misuse, improper storage, or installation that contradicts the product manual — for example input voltage outside specification
  • Water or dust ingress beyond the product’s rated IP level
  • Unauthorised modification, disassembly or third-party repair
  • Damage from power surges, lightning, unstable mains or faulty site wiring (we recommend a stabiliser and surge protection on outdoor and DOOH installations)
  • Cosmetic marks that do not affect display performance, and normal brightness depreciation within the datasheet rate
  • Specification errors confirmed by the buyer before production started — which is why we re-confirm every specification in writing first
  • Change of mind, project cancellation or budget change after production is confirmed

5. When a return is needed

Returns are the exception, not the remedy. They apply in two narrow situations:

  • A confirmed defect that spare parts cannot fix — for example a structural or batch-level fault. We repair or replace the affected units at our cost.
  • Dead-on-arrival quantities — reported within 7 days of delivery with photos and an unboxing record. We replace the units free of charge.

Custom and made-to-order screens are otherwise non-returnable. Cabinets, sizes and pixel pitches are produced to your specification and cannot be resold to another customer. This is standard practice for made-to-order LED, not a JDX-specific restriction.

Remote technical support — configuration, brightness calibration, control-system troubleshooting — is free for the whole warranty period. It costs you nothing to ask, and most faults are solved before any part moves.

6. Frequently asked questions

Is the warranty 2 or 3 years?

Two years as standard on every screen. Up to three years on selected products, and only when the quotation states it in writing. If your quotation is silent on the term, treat it as 2 years.

Do I have to ship the wall back for one bad module?

No. That is exactly what the free spare modules are for. Swap the module on site and send us the photos afterwards. Full-unit returns are for structural or batch-level faults only.

What if I use up all the free spares?

Inside the warranty period we dispatch replacement modules free of charge, normally within 3 business days of the engineering verdict. Beyond that, replacement parts are quoted at parts cost.

Does the warranty cover installed screens abroad?

Yes. The warranty follows the product, not the geography. Diagnostics and the spare-swap process are handled remotely, which is why we ship spares with the order rather than flying a technician out.

Need to file a claim, or confirm a warranty term?

Send your order number and two photos. Engineering verdict within 2 business days — and if you are still at quotation stage, ask us to confirm the warranty term for your product in writing.
